Who Needs a Schengen Visa to Enter Luxembourg?
There are two main classes of visitors who need to present a Schengen Visa on entry into
Luxembourg and the rest of the Schengen area.
- Citizens and visitors from third countries that have an agreement of visa liberalization with the European Union but have been barred from entering Luxembourg or any of the Schengen zone member states in previous times.
- Visitors from any of the third countries whose government does not have an agreement of visa liberalization with the European Union.
Some countries with a visa liberalization agreement with the European Union include
Montenegro, Georgia, Albania, North Macedonia, Bosnia, Ukraine, Herzegovina, Moldova, and
Serbia.
What Documents Are Required when Applying for a Luxembourg Schengen Visa?
To apply for a ETIAS Visa for entry into Luxembourg
and the other Schengen member states, you would need to provide the following documents.
- Passport-size photographs showing all of your facial features taken on a plain white background.
- A valid passport or any other equivalent travel document not older than ten years of issuance. The passport should have two blank pages at the least and should be valid for an additional three months after your intended departure from Luxembourg.
- Biometric data, preferably your fingerprints. If your fingerprints have been captured within the last 59 months, you may not need to input them again.
- Round-trip itinerary that shows your activities during your stay in Luxembourg. It is also required to show your entry and exit dates with flight numbers.
- A return ticket to your home country or an onward ticket to another country.
- Proof of your accommodation should show your hotel's contact number, location, and booking reference number.
- Medical insurance.
- Previous Schengen visas if you have one.
- Birth certificate.
- Your purpose of entry into Luxembourg is clearly stated in your cover letter.
